PS4 prices skyrocket on eBay following sellouts, PS4 selling for over $800
It may be too early to call, but Sony Computer Entertainment seems to have a winner on their hands with the PlayStation 4. Since E3 2013 concluded, the PlayStation 4 has been a hot topic of conversation among gamers and the video game industry. Due to the hype and possibility of a limited PS4 supply come launch this holiday, some people are looking to make a little extra cash off Sony’s new home console.
On July 11, PS4 listings on eBay saw a healthy increase in price following the news of sellouts on Amazon and other retailers.
As we reported yesterday, Amazon has sold out of their launch allocation for PS4 and Xbox One. Likewise, GameStop has ceased taking pre-orders for the PS4 – for those looking to secure a PS4 for launch day, Best Buy is still taking pre-orders online and
On average, PS4 orders on eBay are ending between $700 to over $800. Select PS4 listings are well over $2,000, but these more outrageous listings don’t have any bids.
With launch supplies dwindling and scalpers looking to make easy money, prices for the PS4 have risen sharply on eBay.
