Seriously if MS was confident their policies could deliver on what they promised they would have kept them no matter what. Who in their right mind believes that it was the consumers complaining all over the interwebz that made them change them. Got one word for why they changed them: SALES.

the sales and interwebz are NOT mutually exclusive, the same people complaning were most likely the same people not buying the xbone

on a side note, pretty sure MS could have kept those things in even without DRM

Well to be fair I saw/read a lot more than just non MS fans bashing the X1.  The DRM drama spread pretty far.  More than anyone would ever have thought.  IMO, their switching on most of their features shows they are not confident in their own console and plans for the console.  But that's just me.

oh yeah, i concede that it was a bunch of people, just video game fans in general were bashing. It was of course more than anyone thought otherwise MS woudnt have even tried.  Maybe im a cynic but i think thanking out alot of those features were just them being sour because they got the piss taken out of them. They could have kept in the good features without DRM, hell why wouldnt they leave those as it would have had an advantage over PS4 and Wii U?
