Was used for the Fishing Hole and Zora River in Twilight Princess instead of Ordon Village, so it's already there, but I agree it looked more elaborate in the early demoes.
What you said about a large body of water dividing two continents could be cool. At first you don't know there's something out there, then you get a boat (or get on a boat) and explore until you find this new land across the ocean and you're like "Holy sh*t!"... Naturally, Ganon's there. Those lands need to be big places in themselves though.
