If the players of every other version can share the same gaming world, XB ones knowing it could feel in comparison like confined in a ghetto. And even excluding this very subjective sensation, that could affect just a minority, users of others platforms, joined in a big community, would enjoy a world living in a more intense way, not to mention that even in the last phases of the game's life, with the communities dwindling, the most crowded common world would keep on looking populated and alive longer than the separated one, that would also cease being economically sustainable sooner.

I see the benefits of having one community. But that doesn't mean a 360/X1 port couldn't be a worthwhile endeavor.

An Xbox only community is better than no Xbox port at all. Eitherway, I don't feel that strongly about it. Just pointing that out.

Agree, also because there is the fact that XB having less MMOGs, a new one could enjoy some more user expectation and less competition, this should at least partially balance the negative aspects I pointed out. Most probably, so, economies of scale in the online infrastructure counted more in the decision than game experience issues and possible sales numbers.
