you're the one in denial. wii u's situation is not connected to competition from ps360 and wii, those 3 consoles could be doing better or worse than now and wii u would still be selling like crap. it only need the games. |
I agree with u that games are the most important facor but those other consoles games/pricr factor into it as well.
Imagine a random 25 year old shopping for a new console with no bias towards any of the consoles. He sees a 250gb 360 bundled w/Darksiders 2+Arkham City, 500gb PS3 w/Assassins Creed 3 for $299 or 32gb Wii U w/Nintendo Land for $349. Also he sees that Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Rising, Dead Space 3, Bioshock Infinite, DMC, Colonial Marines, Gears of War, God of War, Last of Us, Halo 4 are on PS3/360 and Wii U has Lego City and NSMBU. He is likely to pick PS360 due to price/games.
Or a mother buying a console for her 2 kids aged 5-10. She sees a $129 Wii w/Wii Sports+Sports Resort vs. $349 Wii U w/Nintendo Land. Also Wi has Wii Fit, Mario Kart, NSMB, Zumba, which are games that appeal not only to her kids but her as well. While again Wii U has Lego City and NSMBU but are those 2 games worth an extra $200? Probably not.
So overall Wii U needs big games to release and it has those later this year but anytime a consumer picks a different console its taking away a potential sale from Wii U.
