Ur spot on, not many games will push a console on there own but a combination of games will. 2D Mario, 3D Mario, Sonic, DKC, Wind Waker, Pikmin, Wii Fit, none of those games can do it on there own but together they can push alot of consoles.

Very true, you'll need a whole lot of great games to push a console. One or two is not enough (at least, not for some franchises).

Well I agree it won't shift hardware sales by the millions but it could bring in customers such as myself who may not experience what the Wii U has to offer.
Nintendo knows this which is why it's exclusive deal with Sega is huge. Potential customers is always a priority bcuz it could open the door to other games they might like. I would not buy a Wii U for the titles I've seen, but Sonic Lost World has got me considering. I'm sure i'm not the only only person on this boat. If I bought Sonic Lost World then I would go on to buy smash, zelda, and mario games. I'm a Sonic fan first I've beaten all the games across all 3 platforms; that is support Nintendo can use on their side so an exclusive deal is key for sales. Lookat Deadrising 3 it's not a system seller either, but that is one of the most hyped games on Xbox ONE majority of the gamers who will purchase the Xbox One will buy D3. Deadrising doesn't touch Sonic on sales either. It's the point Capcom went exclusive to Microsoft and it will sell systems and Sega went exclusive to Nintendo and that will sell systems too. Maybe not enough to catch your eye, but in my eye where any customer matters that to me is most important. Sega fans need a place for Sonic to call home and Nintendo partnership is a key andperfect place for eveyrone.

I'm sorry if I sounded like I was too harsh on this. I had the impression that you believed Sonic alone would dramatically increase hardware sales, which is something that Nintendo needs right now. BUT, it WILL act as a catalyst in the ENTIRE library of future games that will allow for the push in hardware sales. As soon as gamers and others see the wide span of games available on the console for the holidays, they will defintely want to purchase the console, despite the 350$ investment. The lineup could be enough to warrent that purchase for many people.

But it's good that it will attract Sonic fans like yourself, Nintendo needs all of the  support it can get, and while I don't see this partnership as a huge game changer, I do see it as something a part of something larger.
