I was in the movie theater today. Already had the bald, 40 year old, take my tickets. Went out to get more butter on my popcorn, along with some cheese because you know how much I like junk food. On my way in both times, this guy asked for my tickets. I wanted to just throw them on the ground and tell him to check for himself. But I did not. Why is it, that somwhere inside me, I wanted to be rude to this person like he was not my equal? Did I not get taught better in Sunday school as a small child in the cult run town of Yelm? I am sure my Parent taught me to be a good person. Yet, I still have this urge to do this. When I am at a drive thru ( despite warning from my partner that I will get spit in my food) I am constantly rude and impatient with these people. Funny thing is, I make minimum wage as well! I am no better, yet I see a fast food worker and lame movie theater worker as being below me. I can only imagine what others think of me or how they treat me behind my back.
Anyone else do this? Or are you perfect in this aspect of your life? Learn from my inner turmoil people! Do not do what my instinct tells me to do, or Satan if you believe in that sort of thing. |
Why is this man below you? I am more successful than you will ever be but I will NEVER look down on you and think you are below me. This is such an odd way of thinking, you most likely earn the same as him but you label him as "the bald, 40 year old".
