What economy did you live in? 2006 the economy in the U.S slowed down and consumer debt rose. I'm pretty sure people didn't have money falling out of their pockets like leaves on trees. The Wii like I said was the best bargain deal at the time. Regarding the Wii U even at $349.99 I doubt people are sold on that price bcuz it comes with Nintendo land. That's not Wii Sports which was a deal changer, Nintendo Land is not. The value of the Wii U is shown when you mention controllers, but I have Playstation Move controllers too so no need to buy controllers for my PS4. Finally regarding the price of the Wii U. Nintendo's best option is to keep the price as is for now, but either when the release happens for the PS4 and Xbox One they drop their price or wait a few months after. Here's another option you mentioned bundling it at $349.99 with a "worthy" game such as Mario, but Nintendo Land? No. I really really doubt people would fail to see this.

On the note about Sega and Nintendo partnership this is huge. Reference the success Sonic brand has had on the Wii. Maybe Sonic doesn't appeal to you, but other Wii U owners or potential Wii U buyers will gain interest when they notice Nintendo has other publishers supporting their console.

Don't take my wording out of context. I said that the economy was better in 06 than it was now, and that people were able to buy more expensive things, I didn't say it was amazing to a point where people would carelessly spend on anything. People were able to spend more in 06 than they will now. And with Nintendo Land, I did say that they should have other bundled games, obviously Nintendo Land isn't going to move systems. But if people are giving Wii Us to their family members or friends, they'll want to have at least one game right? Knowing that there is a game packed in with the 380$ total price tag, it's more appealing than the likely 500 dollars you'll spend on PS4. I'm also trying to include those people who aren't core gamers like us people, those that only play games once in a while, because they likely will seek the best value for their buck.

The only things that sold well on Wii regarding Sonic are the Olympic Games games,  but they weren't system sellars, as in people won't go out to buy a Wii just to play the Mario and Sonic games. I didn't say that Sonic won't help out Wii U, more games available for people is a good thing, but to say that Sonic will hugely impact Wii U hardware sales is silly. People will buy the Sonic games, no question about that, maybe moreso on a Nintendo console than elsewhere. I mean look at Sonic Racing Transformed, it sold about the same for Wii U compared to PS3, and PS3 has over 78 million people while Wii U has only 3.5 million.

Of course Sonic is a system seller bro.. I am and still interested in Sonic Lost World.. Mario and Sonic games sold average 15 million worldwide, I'm sure people picked those games up with a console.. Here's for the best results, Cheers bro
