Was anyone surprised by this?
The PS4 is pretty much in line this time with the Xbox. Practically same release, LOWER price point, 3rd party games, good architecture and exclusives. Xbox doesn't have any major advantage like it did against the PS3.
Given all the above factors, I think launch sales will see a skew towards PS4 over Xbox. Probably not on such crazy ratios as these, but to some degree. The mass market the Xbox is hoping to get with Kinect won't be buying a $500 console. As for gamers, it's a much easier option to pick the box that costs $100 less.
