Resistance 2 will definately have the technological edge (actually more than just an edge
), it's based on Insomniac's 3rd generation engine with almost all game engine code running on the Cell's SPUs. I think it's also to Resistance 2's advantage Resistance 1 has a compelling story and good production values, which Insomniac is trying to nail even better with R2, in this regard Insomniac has a good reputation with regard to R1 and Ratchet & Clank Future and Epic seems a bit unexperienced with its simple minded space marines.
Marketing wise I think both titles will probably go head to head.
