Poor Nintendo. They're going straight from an SD console to HD and open world design. I'm pretty sure the trailer for X said specifically it would be open world, the new Zelda is rumored to be open world...the rest of the industry has had two generations to go through this. Nintendo's doing this in one.
But I'm pretty sure there will be exceptions. Ryse does not look open world.
