I don't think anything they do will fix their image. Origin is basically a glorified game launcher. People just want to stick to one thing. And that was Steam. I only use it to launch their games. I have no reason to buy or run anything through it. I don't even have the overlay option enabled whenever I play games. I have no one on the friends list for it to be useful.
