Nvidia has SLI figured out. The driver issues are minimal, micro-stuttering is non existent and frame latency is as good as with a single card.
AMD not so much... Learned this first hand when I switched to 7950 Crossfire. Never had issues with GTX 580 SLI, and 670 SLI before that...
I'm not surprised they are pulling this card. It really never should have came out as the GTX 690 runs circles around it in terms of power and thermals and offers very similar performance.
