U dont just spring a price cut during the holidays since many retailers will be doing there own discounts and bundles. So my guess is either a $50 in August to coincide with Pikmin 3, summer update and new marketing campaign, this is a good time because starting in Aug there is a new exclusive every 2-3 weeks, that will give it 3 months of building momentum up to the holiday season. Or $100 price cut in April to coincide with Mario Kart 8 and to start off the fiscal year strong. This would be a good since all the consoles will be getting into there average weekly groove and PS4/One launch hype will have died down. I think the price cut wont be this year. Nintendos plan is games, advertising, bundles for the holidays. If that doesnt work then its time for a peice cut. |
You do to counter a launch, and regardless 3D World is rumored for October as it is. I might have agreed with you if it were November.
