FPS's mostly hit a wall in creativity around the time Half Life 2 came around(exception Portal and multiplayer with rpg elements).
I consider games like Flower, Journey, Walking Dead, Sound Shapes, bit trip and the like to be non games and they suck.
I hate story in games. Recently played Alan Wake and struggled through the last 5 1/2 chapters. If I want a story I will watch a movie. ITs a + when I can completely skip all cutscenes.
Mario Sunshine is better than Galaxy.
No single next gen game has wowed me.
Last game to graphically wow me was Gears of War 1, Gears 2/3, Alan Wake, GOW3, UC1-3 TLOU are all meh improvements.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
