Arrogant is trolling the PS4 when no mention of it was made in this discussion until Dolphin brought it up. Everything I said was a very legit point. The console has been out for nearly 3 quarters of the year yet it hasn't sold a hair. Competition is stiff and priced much better with more to offer yet no price drop is necessary. A price drop will be very required if Nintendo even thinks about competing in this gen. Than again Nintendo doesn't care about what other comapnies do, which in reality is all mojo talk. Reality will set and a price drop will happen. Nintendo will then have a chance to compete. Nuff said. |
I agree the PS4 comment was uncalled for. And yes its selling poorly now but look at the release schedule
January-None
February-None
March
Amazing Spider Man-year old port, didnt sell well to begin with
Lego City-solid exclusive but there are about 100 Lego games across multiple platforms, does nothing for boosting hardware
Monster Hunter-3 old Wii port, also on 3DS
Need For Speed-late port, almost everybody who wanted It already owned it
April
Injustice-solid multiplat
May
Resident Evil-year old 3DS port, also on PS3/360/PC
Sniper Elite-year old port
Lego Batman 2-year old port
Fast & Furious-bad game
June
Game & Wario-bad game
So as u can see there has been 10 retail releases this year, of which only 1 is a good exclusive and 1 multiplat released on time. Wait until Pikmin, Luigi U, Splinter Cell, Rayman, Disney Infinity, Wonderful 101, Batman, Assassins Creed 4, Wind Waker, Skylanders, Ghosts, Wii Party, Watch Dogs, Donkey Kong Country, Sonic Lost World, Mario & Sonic Olumpics, Wii Fit, Mario 3D World release before saying they need a price cut. Also in addition to those titles will be a new marketing campaign and plenty of holiday deals and bundles, which cancels out thr need for an official price cut. I wouldnt be surprised to see the Basic model down to $199 and thr Deluxe bundled with a big game for $299 on black friday thru christmas. If none of this helps the console sell then i doubt a price cut will get people interested
