Wait why does it now only make sense?

The Playroom is a collection of mini games that shows off the system. It doesnt just show off the camera. There are demos targeted towards using the control in interesting ways etc. I dont see this being sold as a stand alone game.

Also if you think the 11th hour is 6 months before launch then thats one way to look it at. But since the camera is no longer bundled they could have easily left out this software. Its quite obvious that this isnt worth a stand alone release price, and doesnt only use the camera.

Sorry, you are probably taking this the wrong way.  im not saying it is bad that sony is doing this.  Free is free, so even if it turned out to be garbage it still isnt a bad thing.  I was just commenting because I found it odd to have a free game pre-installed on a console that you can't even play it on.  Of course this can be used as advertising as well which is probably the main reason they did it.

Taking it the wrong way :? What?

Im struggling to understand whats puzzling about including demo software that demonstrates aspects of the system...Like i said in my initial post this isnt only software for the camera but it also shows off the controller etc. Its very likely they using this software to show off all system features. Every new console has one of these.
