I have to respectfully disagree with the thread starter.
Sony has a strong foothold in the emerging markets. There is a reason the PS3 was able to overtake the 360 at the near end of this generation. The major markets will make the bulk of the sales, especially at the beginning but in the overall scheme of things. Those little sales from the developing markets will matter and the features that separates the X1 from the PS4 will only be available regionally and not globally.
I will not speak anything against the Wii U because this generation has thought me never to underestimate the Big N but the X1 beating the PS4. That I highly doubt.
