Let me know if the game itself works out. Is it true that the game's DLC is basically a project split like this? IIRC people were upset at the DRM situation as well. |
Theres the game and the Berlin DLC for backers/deluxe preorder. All future DLC will be through Steam(DRM) because the IP owner of Shadowrun wants it and supposedly the devs didnt have this fully ironed out at the time of the kickstarter. The game has a full story creator so people can create adventures using all in game assets. People are upset that the game is going to have future DLC and therefore the game is not a complete game. The future DLC will include new stories, locations and textures for people to use. The rage is potentially justified depending on how big the main campaign is. People who standard preordered(not deluxe preorder and after the kickstarter) the game are also upset they dont get the Berlin campaign, but they didnt back the project nor bought the deluxe preorder. I cant imagine not getting my $15 worth between the game, Berlin campaign and user created content.
I am a bit upset at the DRM thing, but I believe them because otherwise they would not offer a DRM free version in the first place.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
