Sequels. I don't purchase DLC because there's no ownership and DLC feels like you're paying for an incomplete game, whether or not it came out days after release or months. Don't let developers fool you. If there's DLC, it's almost always planned ahead, it just depends whether the game sells or not is whether the DLC will be developed or not.

If a game is announced with prerelease DLC that isn't just fluff, or if it's a series/developer that has a history of doing so, I will almost never purchase it at launch. Naughty Dog announced extra scenarios for The Last of Us, and until either it gets $30 or less, a GotY edition is announced, or I see that the extra scenarios aren't really worth worrying about as they add little to the game, I'm holding off on purchasing the game, even as much as I'm interested in it.
