It would be a good move for the Brasil economy and the gamers to make a deal between the government and Sony/Microsoft.
Any console manufactured in Brasil gets taxed for like 19 percent, any console manufactured outside gets taxed the 70 percent like before.
-> Sony/MS would be forced to produce in brasil, and i think the brasil market has the potential to grow rapidly, and it would be a keymarket to the south american countries
-> Jobs
-> more sales, more tax income
so now it is Sony or Microsofts move to do some lobbyism and open that new market. i think it would be worth the effort. the first who enters the market would gain massive advance there...
