Imaginedvl said: No need to "WTF lol lol lol".... The interview do not say the 5GB will be STATIC in any way. You are making that up and no, you are not reasonable... As always with Microsoft's rumors/speculations... And your exemple is plain stupid (the exemple, not you before to you report me for that), applications can easily swat memory context (like any mobile device today AND there will certainly be a limit to the amount of memory an app can use... Even if the maximum amount of memory for games is 5GB, nobody from Microsoft confirmed it would not be possible to dynamicaly allocated less (or more for the apps)... This is just speculations from you. And being based on Hyper-V; with this feature being build-in, I do not see why it seems "unreasonable" to believe it will dynamic... |
The size is close to that... the guy confirmed... can be 6GB for games but that doesn't matter.
What I'm saying is that the memory for games can't be dynamic... the dev can use only 3GB? Yes, it can but the system will reserve xGB for games even if you less... if the OS App is not using RAM the OS Games will not get that RAM for it.
You can't says to devs... you have 5GB RAM reserved and at the end the system changed this amount to 4.5GB because the App OS are using more RAM... or if you said to devs that 5GB are reserved to Games and the OS Games take more 1GB for it dynamically that won't change nothing because the game was made using 5GB.
You guys can't be serious when says that the OS App and OS Games will reserve dynamically the RAM via hyper V... that's makes no sense.
I'm being reasonable here.
Xbone will have reserved to OS Games (and no other OS can touch that): 6x CPU cores, ~5GB RAM and 11 GPU CUs (~90%).
PS. Every site, every one... says that MS confirmed the 5GB RAM reserved to Games... they use that word "confirmed".
