it's called variety. Not every PS fan likes racing games, adventure games, FPS, platformers, or some others but they're all supported by first party studios. As a result not all of them sell as well because people are buying the systems for more different genres. Also they just can't spend money on so many games. Also also their advertisement was crap until LoU and we'll see how they handle this holiday. Not taking anything away from MS exclusives its just a lot more people buy Xbox for Halo than any PS fan buys a system for a particular game. Also Infamous 2 didn't sell well according to many but it's getting a sequel so it must have made enough money.
