I think your wrong, tbh I haven't tried downloading the free games yet because of what I said earler, but early when I got my 360 I downloaded Banjoo-Kazooie, recently I tried playing the game while I was offline and it wouldn't let me, it treated the game as a trial version.

I noticed that happens when I try to play my game on someone else's console without being logged in.
Just right now I booted Fable 3 (a game I received free), and I was able to play it with an offline profile.
You want me to try some of my XBLA games offline? I assure you they will play.

I would apperciate it if you did try, because then something might be wrong with my banjoo-kazooie and I might have to redownload it

Okay, tried some games.
Games I purchased on my 360 Slim can be used with offline profiles. However, games I purchased on my old 360 are locked to profiles except mine.
If I wanted all games playable on my 360 Slim with other profiles including offline, I have to do a license transfer.
