I don't see the point. New IP that comes late to a platform doesn't do well. Look at Bioshock. I reckon Mass Effect would have done much better than is did on PS3 had it been released on PS3 simultaneous with 360/PC. I'm glad Mass Effect came to PS3, but in the end I don't think the late porting could be called a definite success. Probably sold well enough for EA to make it's money back and a bit more.

Bioshock and ME2 sold more than 1mil on PS3 consoles, thats 1mil more than they would have had, that is the point. THey made more than their money back.

Plus I hear that the psn digital download of Mass Effect 2 did really well, despite the fact EA didn't promote either the digital or hardcopy versions. EA made a good profit on the ps3 version, but imagine how well it would've done had it been launched simultaneously and with promotion. Ps3 sales are behind xbox sales for the most part, but not by a large margin- companies would have to hate money, be low on funds, or be paid to not make a version on both consoles.

Exactly, its not like the PS360 capabalities are THAT much different that one game could be on the system and not another. In terms of ME if was simply MS keeping it off PS3 (and anywhere else for that matter) for as long as they could, including PC. IMHO EA acquiring ME was one of the GOOD things they did, i know alot wont agree.
