Well, how many times have you heard of EA letting go of an IP that they had a stake in? You probably havent, because publishers dont get as big as EA by selling off IP's... They hoard them. EA isnt going to let it go, or at least not cheaply. Microsoft isnt stupid, and neither is EA. the long term viability of a franchise like titanfall is going to be worth a lot more than a one time payment from microsoft. If microsoft wanted to aquire the ip, EA would make the cost prohibitively high. Microsoft seems to prefer creating its own stuff at this point rather than buying out properties anyway.
