I don't truly care about graphics or the quality of textures. I don't mind N64 style games.

That said, if they are on N64. Today, I would find it unacceptable for a new game to look like that. I expect some kind of improvement each generation. I also do not see how a game would be more enjoyable if it has a low resolution. What could possibly be the reason to enjoy Battlefield 3 on low settings more, when you can also play the exact same thing on high settings? What's the gain?

Twilight Princess is a GameCube, and therefore 6th gen, game. It's developed for GameCube, until they figured they could use it to sell Wii's. GameCube version was delayed, port was made for Wii and released first.
