For general purpose, I prefer 8350, but for gaming, I prefer the 3570K overall, they are both around the same price range with i5 being faster overall for gaming. Once we get into the 3770 category though, the 8350 can't compete with the 3770, especially after OC, but there is a price difference. Now lets move into Haswell-E territory, which is another performance increase over the Ivy Bridge clock by clock, and now runs on 8 cores with 16 threads..... It's going to kick the shit out of Steamroller, but more expensive for sure.
