Enslaved Ottw Question

I beat the game not long after it came out... A very fun game (as was Heavenly Sword), but I don't remember much aside from the weird as hell ending. If there was a vibe like that, it doesn't seem like it would fit the ending, when Trip asks Monkey if she did the right thing.
