From what I see, since I browse multiple forums (while you admit not to), the main reasons in short:
- Wii has more casuals who see little reason to go on forums. Xbox gamers are more social in nature and therefore spend time with gaming but tend to balance it out with other activities (working out, friends, family, etc.). PS gamers seem to have a real gamer culture in them, in that they put gaming over any other hobby they do.
- #5......because I feel the same way about myself. It is extremely satisfying to have these debates on who's right and wrong. Not gonna lie, it sometimes brings more satisfaction then gaming itself. With PS fans that mentality is multiplied because they have comrades to validate and back up their opinions. I would imagine with them it feels very satisfying to be apart of a like-minded majority.
My first point directly feeds into the second. Its part of their (and therefore your) culture. I accepted long ago that people like me stand alone in small numbers where as the majority of my people are having a healthy balance of gaming with life, with no real need to validate themselves on the internet.
