That's not exactly a fair statement... it is more of a RISC vs. CISC scenario... so yes it does do more cycles per second, but it also processes less complex data per cycle. There is a trade off for that speed. |
You will find the i3 does more per cycle than any non-Intel CPU on the planet right now. There's no tradeoff. The RISC vs CISC 'debate' is 10+ years out of date.
