You would be incorrect, sorry to say. That port in the image shows the actual audio port. It's proprietary and thus why MS needs to create an adaptor for compatibility.


Do you have a source for that, outside of deduction from looking at an image? Because it sure looks like a microUSB port to me, looking at the headset linked here: http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/e3-accessories

Which would make sense, as microUSB has audio I/O.
