Honestly I don't buy your GPU side of the APU is less powerful so there is no need for faster RAM.

 

Past AMD APUs have (pretty much) all had proformance benifits from faster RAM (specifically A8/A10). There is no reason to think these newer generation ones will be any different. As I said in my first post this is still a wait and see topic because we have yet to gut either of these consoles.
