I suppose in general if some (preferably short) QTE is done well, it can be alright. But overall, I personally hate the concept. I'd far rather have a Zelda type boss battle, where you actually FIGHT The boss, figure out it's pattern, beat it with your own ability and ingenuity vs. "do this and press this button in sequence = boss defeated". It's just a very uninspired, and to me, lazy style of game design. For example, I really enjoyed The Force Unleashed, EXCEPT for the QTE based boss battles, which were sometimes murder in that department, and almost killed the overall enjoyment for the game.
