Sorry, but whether they were working exclusively with Nintendo or not, I'll take their word over yours, thanks. They never claimed that the Gamecube was a more powerful console than the Xbox, just that it had some advantages over it as the official specs also state, such as the Flipper's ability to do 8 textures per pass to the Xbox's 4 per pass, in addition to other points like the GC's specialized instruction set, better front side bus bandwidth and more cache.

What? The origional Xbox could do 8 textures per pass maybe via loop back. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_%28console%29
As for the Ram, The Xbox needs to use 16Mb of the 64Mb for just the Z-buffer, On the gamecube that's implemented in hardware at no cost, so the amount of memory each console has actually ends up very similar.

Interesting. Everything I've ever read stated that it was 4 per pass, and I swear even Wikipedia had it labeled as that last time I checked (which admittedly was a long time ago).
I never said that the Xbox wasn't a more powerful console overall, I'm just not quick to dismiss what devs such as Factor 5 have stated just because they were working with Nintendo. You seem to know a bit about tech, so in your opinion would you say that the GC had any advantages over the Xbox? What about the GC's supposed higher poly counts, added instruction set or the Xbox's low FSB clock? I've heard many people state that the Cube did have its advantages when it came to real world performance.
