I see Snowden as a hero because he exposed one of the many things wrong with not just the US government but it's also apparent my own country's government like to spy on it's people too. It's just wrong and yet it's not obvious at all that we are being watched.

But what is so special about Ecuador? These sort of people seem to like to go there.


Extradition, or the lack of it. He'll be able to seek asylum and be 'safe' there. Ecuador isn't exactly on good terms with the US, so they're likely to not do what the US wants with respect to Snowden.
