That's not exactly an educated assumption. This holiday the Wii U will have the most impressive lineup, I think we should wait until after the games hit to call it a failure. Sure it's doing very poorly right now, but saying: "It WIll Never get better because deal with it this is not 2006" is pretty dumb. 

 

Also, you fail to mention the 3DS which is handily beating the shit out of the rest of the consoles. 

The 3DS is 2 or three years old and hitting the peak times most gaming systems sell. The comparison is almost worthless as it is a handheld and the 360 and PS3 are 7 years old. The 3Ds is only rightfully compared to the Vita. 

You are forgetting Wii U has horrible third party support. It is strange you could even think Nintendo's holiday lineup is more impressive than all of the other consoles. No GTA 5 on Wii U just as a small example, or Gran Turismo 6. 


I meant amongst next gen consoles, I didn't include that there, my bad.

PS3 will probably still beat all home consoles this holiday IMO.
