There could be huge benifits in the future by doing this only if they could persuade other devs to do it as well. This would make an HD console that might actually stand up to the Wii. This would provide a larger cash flow for HD devs and less risk for large budget games.
@epinefridis: You seem to like the 360 so it's obvious why you are refusing to see that there is any sense in this idea.
