I'll say it again EVERY SINGLE FEATURE MS OFFERED PRE DRM REMOVAL IS ENTIRELY POSSIBLE POST DRM REMOVAL. Think about it for 5 minutes and you will realise this too. And lets say im wrong...Im not..but lets just assume i am. If MS really wanted to implement all those extra "features" there are multiple methods of doing it. Having all those daily checks and stuff is going waaay over the top. And lets be honest here they went over board. And thats where Steam, PS4 and every other single device hasnt crossed the line. I am aware offline play works. For a varied amount of time depending on the user.
They are two platforms that play games. You know why people are ok with the fact that you can't rent, lend, borrow, or resale PC games? Because you can routinely find them for very cheap. Console games on the other hand are high in price and stay high in price for awhile, especially digital titles. I would have liked to see what happened with the Xbox One. I would love a console with the financial benefits of the PC market with DRM not quite as strict. Now, there's no telling if people would have accepted that or if it would have actually spurred any change. But it's better than the same consoles we already have just slightly more powerful. If it failed, oh well. There is still the PS4. God forbid someone tries something different.
