Before anything my stance on Xbox one and PS4 is somewhat of a Tie with Xbox One winning my favor mostly. (I'm an Xbox 360 person) I really like that Killer Instinct exclusive and have been hearing NOTHING but good things about it from people who have tried playing it. I played it back in the snes days so that game alone is a big deal for me. It also helps that teh fighting genre is one of my favorite genres. Anyhow...
I know people have a bad taste in their mouth about Kinet but personally I actually like it. And its mainly for the ability to say, "Xbox ON." Aside from gaming that feature alone (voice command) has to be one of the most luxerious things you can do with a device like Xbox. Also, its worth noting that I dig some of the games on Kinect too. I had one of the most fun times in a long time playing Kinect Adventures. Dance central as cool and fun too.
I'm don't think its flat out useless. For a lack of words.... I think its "Bad-ass." That I can wave my hands and voice command Xbox one. Its makes me feel like I'm living in the future to a certian extent. So, I don't think its a trerrible waste of money. I know this all subjective... some people regardless of any positive points just won't like Kinect and other like myself maybe see it the way I do and apprecaite the features Kinect brings by itself... and add on features to games.... and games that ONLY use Kinect.
I just had to say something because people keep complaining about it. Also, here's a fact for those of you who say nobody cares about Kinect. Kinect sold very well on the Xbox 360. It was clearly a commercial success. So, there are people who want it and like it and it doesn't make sense to say nobody wants it. I do.
All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.
