I don't understand why people are so sure that they will. (I think the argument boils down to, "Because Steam!") If they are refusing to be competitive with the prices of new retail games and digital downloads with used games supposedly eating their lunch, then I really doubt they are suddenly going to cut prices to the bone when digital is your only option (and on a closed platform, no less).

Beats me too. Steam is competitive because there are options. If XBL and PSN were the only options....well, lets just say, good luck with that.
