Platform criticism. Posts slamming a particular platform without basis - be it a specific console, macs, windows, or anything similar - will not be tolerated. The forums are here for gamers of all persuasions, so unless you're in a thread specifically geared towards platform comparison/discussion, keep your anti-platform comments out of the thread. Note that there is a difference between having a reasonable argument in the correct thread and trolling.
From the Forum rules the last line pertains to a think a bit of the argument here but to my understanding it goes something like btw keep in mind this is an example the PS3 has a lot of potential but no games worth its price tag at the moment thus the PS3 is a over-priced piece of crap. You can say most of the first part to my understanding even though the potential you can see in your own way an can be considered a matter of opinion. But the second part just isn't necessary I mean seems like Sony fans right now get plenty of that in the off-topic forum so unless the goal is to drive away every PS3 fan so the site can be even more dominated by Wii fans might as well just let it go and let the sales tell the story and more importantly the games.
In the end though think this works like I said both ways saying that the 1080p upscaling can be achieved by a sub $100 dollar dvd player or something along the lines if it is justified should be fine in a thread about a new firmware update to the PS3 its just a fact about the system if we only wanted one sided fact one way or the other it seems like the solution would just be to hang out on a site that only had fanboys of your particular system of choice and really how many yes this is great that is great its all so great could you take before wanting to at least say but they could of done this or made this a bit better.
