And it also comes down to options; you’d be surprised how quickly MS windows would drop like a rock if there was any really completion outside of windows on PC. |
I know about Microsoft's history of embrace and extend, so no need to elaborate. Besides, it's steering the topic off-course. What I'm saying is that on the consumer front, Microsoft gave people what they wanted, and in the business world, that's what counted. Had they been arrogant towards consumers with MS-DOS at the time, then guess what, we probably wouldn't be using Windows right now...
