Until then they will continue to fail and fall behind. Balmer has to go, he has created a culture in microsoft that is anti-progress. Last I saw, Microsoft were delivering record profits. And as far as progress goes, every time Microsoft changes something the whole internet goes into knee-jerk uproar.

Record profits? Record profits by whose standards? They sure as hell aren't beating apple and they definitely aren't doing better than they were during Bill Gates time. They went from the number one tech company to number 3. Their stock went from 60 during Bill Gates era to high 20's and low 30's. Windows 8 is failing harder than Vista. Windows Phone can't even compete with blackberry and Windows Surface is just an all around failure in every sense of the word.
Internet goes into an uproar because microsoft never provides change that people actually want. They are clueless and out of touch.
