Kasz216 said: Eh, i'd call this a non story. With as little as the Vita sells it shouldn't be surprised that a store here or there just doesn't sell any. Console choices often are regionally influenced, since you want to get what your friends get. So if sony were to say, release the VITA connection information i bet you'd find some areas in the US lit up with a bunch of Vitas... and some with none at all. |
Not to mention I can't think of a single person who would go to Walmart to buy a Vita (really, any sort of gaming media, it's greatest of all hassles).

Walmart is no Gamestop, but it does have more locations, is easier to get to, and has many times over more customers per day. They have 2-3 game isles per store for a reason. No other reason that a business would give up so much space to games. They sell quite well.

In the US which this seems to be talking about, this is actually untrue. 3029 Walmart Supercenters + 611 Sams Clubs vs 4,434 Gamestops.

That shows over 4,600 US Walmarts as of April 2013 or something. Idk what Gamestop has now, I know they were planning on shutting down 500 this year.

Unfortunately that doesn't filter out the locations that don't have electronics at all, like the Walmart Neighborhood Markets which only sells groceries.
