| Imaginedvl said: I agree with the article (not about calling people idiots or morons) but the overall idea. While the Xbox One is still offering more than the PS4 without it, I was really looking forward for the no-disc required and shared library... For those saying Microsoft saved themselves: No, Microsoft could go with this plan anyway and still win as the Xbox One is going to offer a more compelling experience and this is what matter, the long term. For those saying it was not a minority: Yes, it definitely was a minority of unhappy Xbox fans, mainly Sony fans and the medias. The majority of Xbox fans were okay with that and were actually looking forward into it. Just take this website as the example, majority of basher/haters have a Sony sig and they did not even planned to get an Xbox One in the first place... Of course there are some disappointed Xbox fans but it is definitely a minority... While I'm not pretending this website represents the internet, you can see the same trend on other website. Now we are back to 10 years ago... Sad... |
Its comments like these that show how some people have no idea what the actual retail side of the industry is like.
There was not a minority that spoke and it wasnt Sony fans.
MS had exactly ZERO chance of winning in ANY market including their dominant NA.
Had MS stayed the course the entire Xbox brand would have collapsed.
People that think it was internet crying that changed MS are either delusional, in denial, or simply uneducated on the overall situation.
What changed MS was numbers. Because numbers dont lie.
