..or saved it from a crash and burn.

Innovation does not equal market reception. Xbox One model may have crashed and burned, but it was different. This industry has been in a stalemate for at least 4 years now. The Xbox One model may not have been the game changer...but it had a chance to be. Now we are just maintaining the status quo.

Also if we look around on this site at the people who were most vocal about this...can we really say that your statement is true? People pushing this agenda are not really the biggest Xbox supporters now or before the reversal.

look harder.  you and kowenicki were like the last 2 standing.  loads of well known xbox guys were switching camps here.  my jaw hit the damn floor when i saw nsanity post "i don't think i can get and xbone at lauch or ever with these policies".

like we sort of talked about in that other thread, it all comes down to choice.  MS's only mistake was combinding their retail and physical strategey.  i'm goiing to be a digital guy next gen ps4 or otherwise.  but that's my choice because i like the benefits of digital.  ..but it's not for everyone.  analyse publishers retail spending habits and i don't know how you can come to any conclusion other than it's not for the majority of the current market.

is digital the future?  yes, i think so.  ..but you put a carrot on a stick and try to lead consumers to the future.  you don't take that stick and beat them with it.
