Innovation does not equal market reception. Xbox One model may have crashed and burned, but it was different. This industry has been in a stalemate for at least 4 years now. The Xbox One model may not have been the game changer...but it had a chance to be. Now we are just maintaining the status quo.
Also if we look around on this site at the people who were most vocal about this...can we really say that your statement is true? People pushing this agenda are not really the biggest Xbox supporters now or before the reversal.
