Well, just take away shipping and manufacturing prices. I don't know specifics but that would be a fair amount right? How do Steam and PC retail games compare? I've only used it briefly.

I could be wrong but, my thought was that with Steam it's different because they don't have to match the PC retail prices since they aren't in charge of them? But with consoles the MSRP is set by the manufacturer?

I personally don't know because I only bought 1 digital game on steam so far and that's Torchlight 2 and I don't think they sell it retail.

But for the Nintendo e-shop I know that the digital and retail versions are the same price and it's fixed like that. Don't know about XBL and PSN.

Another thing they can take away is used game sales, which they might be able to take a piece of in digital by creating a used games program for digital games?

I thought the devs gave discounts. Look up CoD on Steam. It's probably full price on Steam until you find a cheaper code elsewhere and you can find codes everywhere... Yeah, I don't know. We need a PC elit... um.. Enthusiest in here!!

MS would drop the prices to compete I believe and 3rd parties would also for XBL... Guess we may not find out now though!
