You're dang right we should have online play for free. Anyone who paid for Live should feel ashamed etc. Dang right we should get all aspects of the experience in the game we purchase. etc. That's right, i used the word Dang, dag nammit.
I think everyone is tired from the discussions about used games, it lead to a consumer victory. Bravo us.
This being said, how's this as a question, Sony have said multiplayer only is what is restricted however F2P games are not included as they will be 'free'. So what's to say some games companies might not make gamers have to go through PS+ to play online games, Activision could afford to compensate Sony's 'lost revenue' so to speak for the upkeep on PS+ service to allow gamers to play for free getting essentially one up on their competitors? (well on PS4 at least, Xbone is more restrictive in it's paid for service.
